Kia Sorento Not Starting

Hard to believe this little camshaft sensor caused our customer's Kia Sorento to stop running. Accurate diagnosis is key to the right fix for your vehicle the first time. At Mastermind Enterprises Auto Care in Denver, we take the time to give you an accurate diagnosis for your vehicle. We offer FREE Diagnosis (up to 1 hour) with all repairs in our shop, too!

Our customer had their 2006 Kia Sorento towed into us after the dealer told them repairing their vehicle could cost them up to $8,000! They were receiving codes from their computer that included the camshaft position sensor, crankshaft position sensor and oxygen sensors. The oxygen sensor codes were due to the fact that the camshaft position sensor was not functioning correctly, therefore the air/fuel mixture was incorrect. Our customer was told they would need to replace all of the oxygen sensors and camshaft position sensor. The crankshaft position sensor code was coming up because of a weak battery.

We found that the timing belt was loose, had jumped a tooth on the passenger side intake cam and the camshaft position sensor was completely non-functional.  After replacing the timing belt and all related components with the camshaft position sensor, our customer's vehicle runs perfectly and purrs like a kitten. This customer paid no diagnostic charges to get this problem diagnosed at Mastermind Enterprises Auto Care.

Auto repair and service can be a very difficult and stressful time. That's why our family works hard at Mastermind Enterprises Auto Care in Denver to make it an easy and happy experience. We started our family business from humble beginnings with our 1984 Ford E350 Cargo Van to the current auto repair shop we are now operating from in Denver.

We built our family auto repair business in Denver over the years with great customers who have supported us along the way. Many of our customers have been with us from the very beginning! We have watched our customers' families grow right alongside ours. We service and repair cars that are passed down through the generations, like this beautiful 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air.

We opened our first auto repair company, a mobile auto repair service, on September 20th, 2002 when we had a 20 month old daughter and were expecting our second daughter. We saved our money from that business to open our first auto repair shop in Denver in 2004.

We found the second location for our company on Clarkson St in 2008 and changed our company name because we no longer offered a mobile repair service. We added many new customers and welcomed our first son here. Mastermind Enterprises Auto Care stayed in that shop for almost 5 years when we needed more space because our auto repair business and family were bursting at the seams!

In 2012, we moved into our current Denver auto repair shop location on 74th Ave. We are blessed to watch our auto repair business and family continue to grow. In 2014, we welcomed our second son to our family. We are still looking to purchase the best permanent location to serve our customers. Mastermind Enterprises Auto Care is committed to keeping good prices for our customers, so we will not settle on that permanent location until we find a perfect fit.
